Cavalier Air Force Station (CAFS)
Location: North Dakota
Client: Department of Air Force
Services: Fire Protection and EMS
Challenge
CGH Global was selected through a competitive procurement to provide fire protection and emergency medical services at CAFS, which is located at a remote and austere location 10 miles from the Canadian border in North Dakota. Per terms of the contract, CGH was required to provide 24/7/365 fire prevention and protection services to CAFS as well as outlying areas outside of the Air Force base through a mutual aid agreement to support outside civilian fire departments when requested. Additionally, CGH Global was required transition operations in conjunction with union collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiation.
Solution
CGH Global successfully met all requirements for startup and was 100% operational in less than 30 days from contract award. CGH was able to successfully negotiate a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) resulting in more preferential terms to the members, resulting in no transition turnover and ensuring operational readiness for the customer from day 1. As the current prime contractor, CGH Global is responsible for personnel, management and quality control, acquisition and logistics of all equipment and required apparatus necessary to successfully perform on this contract. In addition to fire protection, our personnel provide emergency medical services ranging from medical first responder all the way to paramedic to all air station personnel. This includes first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and other emergency medical procedures. CGH Global provides these services to CAFS, logistical and outlying support areas, as well as mutual aid support to outside civilian fire departments when required.
